Anne Maltais biography
Jo-Ann Maltais Ph.D. serves as Vice President of Scientific Affairs. Dr. Maltais brings over seventeen years' experience in research and product development clinical trials and quality assurance of extracorporeal medical devices to Lipid Sciences. For the past ten years she has served in various executive positions for Gambro AG and its subsidiaries and most recently has served as head of scientific affairs for Gambro Healthcare. Gambro AG is a world leader in the kidney dialysis industry. Prior to Gambro Dr. Maltais served as manager corporate microbiology for Minntech Corporation from 1984 to 1990. Minntech is a manufacturer of dialysis products. From 1979 to 1983 Dr. Maltais worked for the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.
Dr. Maltais has a bachelor's degree in biology and chemistry from Long Island University and a doctorate in microbiology from the University of New Hampshire. She is the author of several scientific papers and eight patents.
